Beginner Pole Fundamentals Classes

Beginner Pole Fundamentals classes are for anyone that has had no experience on the pole or has had a limited
background and teaches the fundamentals of pole dance which are:
dance moves, floor work, proper technique for pole spins, and upper body and core strengthening exercises.  

The Beginner Pole Fundamentals class is progressive, so you will learn basic dance moves and pole spins and
build each week with more difficulty. By the end of class you will be able to put everything together for a complete
routine.

It is important to feel comfortable with the moves and that you work at your own level to ensure that you are not
injured.  It’s important to not get discouraged and do what is most comfortable for you.  Continuing Pole Dance,
Intermediate, and  Advanced classes are also available upon approval from the instructor.

****Please note that there is a weight limit of 225lbs for the poles
You MUST be at least
19 years old to take classes

Pole Velocity Dance and Fitness provides small class size for more individual time on
pole and personal instruction.
Class Times
Beginner Pole Fundamentals, Continuing Pole Fitness Classes, and Intermediate Pole Fitness Classes are 1 hr
15 minutes.  The Beginner Pole Dance Fundamentals class meets once a week for 4 weeks.  

Advanced Pole classes are 1 1/2 hours in length.

All One Day Classes such as Aerial Fit, Intro to Pole Dance, Pole Conditioning, Ballet Pole Tango, Cardio Pole
Dance, Sensual Chair Dance, Pole Routines, Floor and Core, Stretch & Strength, Freestyle Pole Dance, and Just
Pole Tricks Classes are 1 hour in length and meet one time.
Class Attire
You should wear what you are most comfortable with.  Yoga pants or sweat pants and a T-shirt are fine.   For the
Intermediate and Advanced classes you should also bring a pair of comfortable shorts to class for sticking to the
pole for poses and inverts.  You can go barefoot or in socks.  If you feel comfortable, you can also wear sturdy heels.

Please REMEMBER DO NOT put on any oils or lotion before class.  Your body needs to be
clean so that you can stick to the pole and not slide off.   Please wash your hands before class with anti-bacteria
soap with no moisturizers.  Also,
No jewelry including: rings, bracelets, watches or belts as these items may
cause pinching and will scratch the poles.

****PLEASE NOTE: There are pets present at my Home Studio.  If you are allergic to cats,
please take proper medication before coming.  Cats are very friendly and will be
put in another room if you are uncomfortable.

Sunday's, November 5th - November 26th at 1:30-2:45pm
Wednesday's, November 8th - November 29th at 7-8:15pm
Saturday's, November 11th - December 2nd at 1:30-2:45pm
***Additional  4 Week sessions will begin in January 2018


***The BEGINNER POLE FUNDAMENTALS
meet on the same day and time for 4 consecutive weeks
For example...if you sign up for Monday Night class at 7-8:15pm,
you will meet every Monday at that time for 4 weeks

Students enrolled in the 4 Week Beginner Pole Fundamentals are allowed ONE Make up class. Make ups must be
made up within ONE month after the last class of the session.

Students
MUST pay for the 4 Week Session in full by the first day of class.  You CANNOT pay by class for the 4 Week
Beginner Pole Fundamentals Session. There are
NO REFUNDS after the first day of class.  You can sign up for the
next session if available.

Please use the ONLINE SCHEDULER to register and pay for the 4 week session. Payment by cash or check can be
made on the first day of class upon request by email.

NO DROP IN'S ALLOWED.  YOU MUST ENROLL FOR 4 WEEKS.

***PLEASE ALLOW PROPER TRAVEL TIME AND EXTRA TIME FOR PARKING ON THE STREET (PARKING IS MORE

What's the next step after the 4 Week Beginner Pole Fundamentals Session?  
You will be able to take the Continuing Pole Fit Classes with approval from the instructor.


CONTINUING POLE FIT CLASSES
Continuing Pole Fit classes build upon what was learned in the Beginner Pole Fundamentals class.  
You CANNOT take the Continuing Pole Fit Classes if you have NO pole class
experience.  You must have taken at least 6-8 classes to take this class.

You will start working on combination spins, begin to climb the pole, and begin to work on basic invert and exits.  
This class also focuses on pole conditioning exercises for building core strength and arm strength.  This class is
continuing and you will take this class until you have mastered climbing and inverting.  The next level will be
Intermediate Pole Fit and you can move on with the instructors permission.

You can now take any Continuing Pole Fitness class any day it is offered.  Now you can take the class twice a week
or more if you would like.

****You must have completed the Beginner Pole Fundamentals class or
have taken at least 6-8 pole dance classes at another studio in order to take the Continuing Pole Fit Classes.  
Approval must be received from the instructor to take these classes.


Continuing Pole Fit Classes will be held on:

Monday's at 7-8:15pm
Tuesday's at 6:45-8pm
Wednesday's at 7-8:15pm (Continuing/Intermediate)
Saturday's at 12:15-1:30pm (Continuing/Intermediate)
Saturday's at 2:45-4pm
Sunday's at 2:45-4pm

INTERMEDIATE POLE FIT CLASSES
****You must have completed the Beginner Pole Fundamentals class , Continuing Pole Fit Classes or have taken at
least 6 months - 1 year of pole dance classes at another studio in order to take these classes.

Intermediate Pole Fit Classes will be held on:

Wednesday's at 7-8:15pm
Saturday's at 12:15-1:30pm


You must RSVP by the day before class for Intermediate Pole Fit Classes
Permission by Instructor is required to attend must be able to do the cross knee release, outside leg
hang, inside leg hang, basic butter fly, strattle invert on the pole, and invert from the air.  You MUST GET
APPROVAL from  the Pole Velocity Instructor before taking this class even if you have taken classes
from another studio.  A session MUST be scheduled with the instructor in order to get approval to join
the class.  This is $25 for an hour class assessment.

least 2 year of pole dance classes at another studio in order to take these classes.


Advanced Pole Fit Classes will be held on:

Tuesday's at 8-9:30pm


You must RSVP by the day before class for Advanced Pole Fit Classes
Permission by Instructor is required to attend must be able to do the cross knee release, outside leg
hang, inside leg hang, jasmine, strattle invert on the pole, invert from the air, and shoulder mount.  You
MUST GET APPROVAL from  the Pole Velocity Instructor before taking this class even if you have
taken classes from another studio.  A session MUST be scheduled with the instructor in order to get
approval to join the class.  This is $25 for an hour class assessment.

ONE DAY CLASSES
One Day Classes are offered throughout the month.  These classes are a one time class.  
Most One Day Classes do not require any pole experience.  
One Day Classes include:

INTRO TO POLE DANCE, JUST POLE TRICKS, SENSUAL CHAIR DANCE,
POLE ROUTINES, POLE CONDITIONING , FREESTYLE POLE DANCE,
PiYo
®, ZUMBA®, TRX® TOTAL BODY BLAST,
AND AERIAL FIT CLASSES

RSVP is required at least 24 hours in advance for ONE DAY Classes.  
NO Drop In's are allowed.

ONE DAY Classes and AERIAL FIT Classes are $25 per person and
non-refundable if you sign up and miss class

ZUMBA®, PiYo®, and TRX® Classes are $18 per class and non-refundable
if you sign up and miss class
